B.G Technical Limited is committed to maintaining the highest level of compliance to health, safety, and environmental regulations wherever it operates. Accordingly, the Company provides training to staff to ensure that health, safety, and environmental protocols are not compromised.
The Company’s attention to health, safety, and the environment have earned it many awards including the top company health, safety, and environment award by Shell in Nigeria in 2006. BGT has won the premier contractor award for Safety from the Pipelines Systems Division of SPDC for two consecutive years. The companies QHSE department is headed by a senior manager, with direct reporting to the highest level in the organization.
HSE POLICY
B.G Technical Limited and its affiliates/agents are committed to doing our best to provide outstanding safety and health protection to our employees through management systems and employee involvement. Managers, Supervisors, and Employees must be actively involved in ensuring safety in every activity.
B.G Technical Limited and its affiliates/agents agree to correct in a timely manner all hazards identified through self-inspection, accident investigations, employee reports, or any other means in line with our incident and injury free (IIF) goal and mind-set.
B.G Technical Limited and its affiliates/agents shall demonstrate sound occupational health and safety performance by controlling their OH&S risks, consistent with OH&S Policy Objectives.
B.G Technical Limited and its affiliates/agents shall ensure good waste management elimination of environmental incidents and harmonious relationships with host communities. We shall ensure continual improvement and compliance with local regulation/legislation on environmental issues by the Government wherever we work.
The statement of our general Health, Safety, and Environment policy include:
- To maintain safe plant and equipment.
- To ensure safe handling and use of substances.
- To provide information, instruction, and supervision for employees.
- To ensure all employees are competent to perform their tasks and to give them adequate training.
- To maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
- To review this policy at regular intervals.
- To provide adequate control of the health and safety risk arising from our work activities.
